Take a Step Back in Time and Grow Peas This Spring

  1. While we don’t really care for cooked peas, we are growing some in the garden this year, right along the edge where the kids can grab them to snack on while playing outside. 😊 There’s no greater childhood memory than eating peas straight out of the garden.

  2. I just planted mine. Here in Ohio, the ground is not workable yet, but I went ahead and pushed them into the moist soil. I’ve had a couple of successful years of peas and had plenty of seed saved to replant this time. Something new I tried this year was presprouting the seeds a few days ahead before planting. So hopefully that will give me a head start on them! One of the seed companies I order from suggested it.
