two branches homestead

This past summer we decided to let the chickens and ducks do the fertilizing for us in the vineyard.  We have 50 marquette vines and have made wine for the last two years along the way we have learned many lessons.  This summer we learned that ducks make great lawn mowers so we hatched 14 ducks from eggs that our mating pair laid.  Not only are they great mowers but excellent fertilizers.  In the very early spring we will be pruning the vines in the vineyard and we will post a blog about it so stay tuned.
